Indian dream team announced



The Indian team has been announced today on Jan 17 for the World Cup 2011. The selection panel, with Krishnamachari Srikkanth at the helm, has declared the Indian squad which will play in the upcoming World Cup starting from Feb 19 in Dhaka.

MS Dhoni will remain the skipper. There are 8 batsmen, 4 pacers and 3 spinners in the team. Yusuf Pathan cemented his place in the team by knocking unbeaten 123-runs against New Zealand. He will be utilized as a bowler too. BCCI selectors chose him over Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. The other bone of contention had been the second specialist spinner’s slot, and the selectors have picked both offspinner R Ashwin and legspinner Piyush Chawla, ahead of left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.
