IPL Auction 2011

IPL 4 is all set to kick start with the re-opening of the Great Indian Cricket bazaar in Bangalore on Saturday. The event is once again conducted by Richard Madley, a professional auctioneer from England at the Mysore Hall, Royal Gardenia in Bangalore on Jan 8th & Jan 9th 2011. All franchises, much better prepared than before are set to Grab the best players to make the best possible team for the upcoming Indian Premier League Season 4. Apart from the Franchise owners, Top film stars, industrialists and big cricket brains are expected for the event.
The addition of the 2 New IPL Teams (Sahara Pune Warriors & Kochi) will add to the excitement of the Auction. Each team has a max cap of $9 million for the bidding, some of which have already been spent on the retained players (a total of 12 players have been retained) by some franchises.

12 Retained Players by the respective IPL Teams are shown below;

Mumbai Indians: Sachin Tendulkar, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, Harbhajan Singh
Chennai Super Kings: MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, Albie Morkel
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli
Rajasthan Royals: Shane Warne and Shane Watson
Delhi Daredevils: Virender Sehwag
Deccan Chargers: None
Kolkata Knight Riders: None
Kings XI Punjab: None
